Hello World! I’m Lei from the Philippines, born on 26 May 1985 which makes me 26 years old.
I started making websites when I was still in my 2nd year in high school. That was the year when we got our internet (dial up) connection and I became addicted with the Internet. At first it was all about mIRC and ICQ for me, staying up chatting the night away. Until one day I got intrigued on how I can have my own website so I bought a book about HTML at National Bookstore and started studying. This particular fascination was also the reason why I took up Information Management at San Beda College Alabang. I’ve been in the IT industry for 5 years and I’m currently a Java Developer for a BPO/IT company.
I love learning new things but the only problem is that I get bored too easily. I took up German language lessons last year so I know and understand a few words that’s it. I lost my interest in continuing further studies. I’m planning to join in a one-day Bartending 101 course next month! I have so many things that I want to do, like:
- Learn flower arrangement – I’d like to put up a flower shop someday.
- Scuba diving – I went Snorkeling last August in Palawan and I felt bitin. I wanted to go further down and have a closer view of the corals and fishes
- Travel more – There’s a lot of places I want to see and visit. I regret not going to Cairns and visit the Great Barrier Reef when I was still in Melbourne.
- Sponsor a child – I was able to donate to Children’s Hour last year but that was thru our company. I hope someday I could send a child to school.
- Lose weight/move more – This has always been in my to-do list.
